Prosperity and Progress in Intermediate Cities – Financial Education

The following presentation released by the Inter-American Dialogue's Migration, Remittances, and Development program provides an overview of the project Prosperity and Progress in Intermediate Cities. Since May 2023, the initiative seeks to promote financial access and inclusion in the municipalities of the San Marcos department and the municipality of Amatitlán, Guatemala. The slides include information on the project's financial education activities, objectives, implementation strategy, scope, preliminary results, and detailed demographic information on the initiative's beneficiaries. During this period, 8,850 people received financial consulting from 13 agencies and consultants. The intention to migrate among those who received consulting decreased to three percent compared to seven percent in 2022.
