We are pleased to advise you of the publication of three volumes of the World Bank’s National Assessments of Educational Achievement series about establishing national assessments of educational achievement.
The first volume, “Assessing National Achievement Levels in Education,” explains the objectives of educational assessment and summarizes the principal features of national assessment in nine countries.
The second volume, “Questionnaires for a National Assessment of Educational Achievement,” is directed at national assessment teams and explains the activities involved in developing educational achievement tests.
Lastly, the third attached volume, “Using the Results of a National Assessment of Educational Achievement,” focuses on how countries have used exam results to influence education policy and reform.
