Anastasia Chacón González joined the Inter-American Dialogue in 2018 as a reporter for the Latin America Advisor and took on additional responsibilities as associate editor in 2020. Originally from Costa Rica, Anastasia graduated from Georgetown University with a BA in Government focusing on Economics and Women’s & Gender Studies. Prior to joining the Dialogue, Anastasia was an intern at Reuters Breakingviews, Vital Voices Global Partnership and El Financiero, Costa Rica’s top economics and finance weekly newspaper. Anastasia has also lived in Switzerland and France, and she is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
