Anastasia Chacón González joined the Inter-American Dialogue in 2018 as a reporter for the Latin America Advisor and took on additional responsibilities as associate editor in 2020. She graduated from Georgetown University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and minors in Economics and Women’s & Gender Studies. Prior to joining the Dialogue, Anastasia was an intern at Reuters Breakingviews, Vital Voices Global Partnership, El Financiero—Costa Rica’s top economics and finance weekly newspaper—and the Costa Rican Investment Promotion Agency (CINDE). Born and raised in Costa Rica, Anastasia has also lived in Switzerland and France. She is fluent in English, Spanish and French, and is currently learning Portuguese.

“Women’s Economic Empowerment – Fostering an Equitable and Inclusive Digital Economy,” focused on women’s inclusion in the digital transformation, discussing methods to bridge the digital divide between men and women by investing in digital upskilling, online financial management services and social services, and entrepreneurship programs.
