Improving the Teaching Profession in Guatemala

On August 23 and 24, PREAL and its Working Group on the Teaching Profession (GTD) partnered with the Universidad del Valle to host an International Conference on the Status and Outlook of the Teaching Profession in Latin America. Held in Guatemala City, the conference convened participants from throughout the region, and included remarks by Guatemalan Minister of Education Cynthia del Águila.

Participants discussed the state of the teaching profession in Guatemala, as well as lessons learned from teacher policy reform in other countries throughout the region.
