Justin Kopek is a 2022 Summer intern with the Office of the President and a rising senior at Arizona State University where he studies Economics and Global Studies with minors in Spanish and History. He has served as Co-President of the ASU Chapter of the Alexander Hamilton Society where he put on lectures with foreign policy experts and has spent a semester studying abroad in Santiago, Chile. His research interests include how foreign investment and trade policy influence growth and inequality, especially in Latin America. Justin is professionally proficient in Spanish and has begun to study Portuguese as well.
On July 26, 2022, the Inter-American Dialogue hosted a public event titled “Cancer and Covid-19: New Challenges to Controlling Cancer in Latin America and the Caribbean.”
On July 12, 2022, the Inter-American Dialogue co-hosted a private discussion on the future of inter-parliamentary dialogue in the Americas alongside Argentina’s Universidad Austral.
