Diana Roy is an intern with the Latin America Advisor, the Dialogue’s daily publication. She graduated from American University in 2020 with a degree in International Studies and a double minor in Justice & Law and Spanish Translation. During her undergraduate studies, Roy interned with the Departments of Homeland Security and State, as well as with the Department of Justice’s South America team and the Council on Foreign Relations’ editorial team. Her senior capstone included a collaboration with the State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs to craft a report outlining evidence-based solutions to gang violence in Central America. Roy has extensive editorial experience through both university and think tank publications, where she primarily covers foreign policy, human rights and political corruption in Latin America.
