Sofia Coen

Sofia Coen joined the Inter-American Dialogue in 2024 as an intern for the Migration, Remittances, and Development program. Coen’s areas of interest include regulatory policy, economic policy, international trade, and private and public sector strategic communication.

Originally from Nicaragua, Sofia has witnessed corruption and inequity first-hand. She formed part of the civil movement leadership and actively worked for increased accountability in her country. Currently, Sofia is a third-year international relations student at the University of Southern California and hopes to be a positive force in promoting sustainable development in Latin America.
