Selwin Hart

Selwin Hart is the special advisor to the UN Secretary-General on climate action and just transition. Hart was previously the executive director for the Caribbean region at the Inter-American Development Bank and former Ambassador to the United States and the Organization of American States for Barbados. He has also served as climate advisor for the Caribbean Development Bank, chief climate change negotiator for Barbados, and as the coordinator and lead negotiator on finance for the Alliance of Small Island Developing States (AOSIS). Hart holds a bachelor of science in economics and accounting from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill and a master’s degree in international political economy and development from Fordham University.
