Paul Dwyer is CEO and co-founder of Viamericas Corporation, an organization that offers money transfer, bill payment, check processing, and top-up services throughout Latin America, Africa, India, and the Philippines. Prior to founding Viamericas, Dwyer was a partner with the Latin American Practice Group of the Washington, DC-based law firm Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering (now WilmerHale). While a partner in that practice, Dwyer had first chair responsibility for a wide range of financing and acquisition transactions in Latin America. Prior to joining Wilmer, he practiced law with Rogers & Wells (now part of Clifford Chance), and as an internal counsel at the Inter-American Investment Corporation.
Dwyer received an undergraduate degree at Tufts University in Latin American Studies, a master’s degree in international business and Western Hemisphere diplomatic history at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and a Juris Doctor at Harvard Law School.
