Pablo Necoechea is senior manager for ESG and sustainability at Televisa.

He holds a Bachelor and Master in Economic Development from the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP), a Master in Innovation from Deusto Business School, and a Master and PhD Candidate in Economics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

He has specialized in energy and sustainability issues, both at the project management and research levels; this has been his focus in his positions as public official at different government levels, as well as in his work as a senior consultant for major firms and as a researcher for the European Centre for Energy and Resource Security (EUCERS) at King’s College London.

Moreover, he is a member of the Advisory Board of the Energy Management and Climate Change Index (IGECC, for its name in Spanish), which through a detailed methodology analyzes the actions of subnational governments in environmental and energy matters, and encourages the development and evaluation of public policies oriented to these issues. The intention of the IGECC is to be a tool for governments, supporting them in decision making through a series of recommendations, and thus respond to the need to incorporate environmental data in economic and public decisions.

He is currently a columnist for El Universal, Expansión and Forbes, as well as a member of the Standards Advisory Group of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). He also serves as General Director of the consulting firm ESG Academy SC.

Pablo was a commentator in the daily Latin America Advisor.
