Nicolás Ardito-Barletta is the deputy director of Panama’s Superintendence of the Stock Market. He served as president of Panama from 1984 to 1985. Prior to his election, Ardito-Barletta served as Panama’s minister of planning and economic policy and as vice president for Latin America and the Caribbean at the World Bank. Since leaving office, he has served as general administrator of the Interoceanic Region Authority and as director of the department of economic affairs at the Organization of American States.
