Nicolás Albertoni is a professor at the Universidad Católica del Uruguay and non-resident associate researcher at the University of Southern California’s Security and Political Economy (SPEC) Laboratory. Albertoni serves as the principal investigator of the Trade Policy Project at the SPEC Laboratory, which analyzes new patterns in global trade policy. His research broadly engages questions in international political economy and comparative politics with an emphasis on Latin America trade policymaking and economic integration. Albertoni has also published three books about South American regional integration with a focus on the Southern Cone. He holds a doctorate and two master’s degrees from the University of Southern California, a master’s from Georgetown University, and a bachelor’s degree from Universidad Católica del Uruguay.

Albertoni was a contributor to the Asia-LAC Dialogues series.
