Mila Tonarelli is an international expert in the use of technology in education. Since 2020, she has been the global innovation and product manager at ProFuturo Foundation and is part of the institution’s steering committee, which currently operates in more than 45 countries in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia.

Tonarelli collaborated with the Telefónica Foundation’s digital education projects in Brazil from 2001 to 2020, and this experience has allowed her expertise to range from the use of different technologies in education, as well as their application in diverse contexts, conditions, and cultures.

In her trajectory, she has been an integral member of the Laboratory of Research in Imaginary Childhood and Communication (LAPIC-ECA/USP), by the Center for Studies and Research in Education, Culture and Community Action (CENPEC), and of the GELP (Global Education Leaders Program). Tonarelli has worked as a consultant and also as a professor in graduate and post-graduate courses, always in the field of education and technology.

Tonarelli has a degree in psychology and a master’s degree in communication sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP). In addition, Tonarelli has a specialization in distance education management from the University of Carlos III in Madrid and in leadership and organizational culture.

Tonarelli is an ambassador of connectivity for educational purposes at the Dialogue.
