Gabriel Blanco is a professor in the Faculty of Engineering at the National University of Central Buenos Aires, Argentina. He graduated as an engineer from the University of Buenos Aires and has a master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts in the field of energy resources and renewable energies. Blanco has actively participated as member and chair of the Executive Committee of Technologies of the United Nations Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and has been part of Argentina’s negotiation team on climate change at the UNFCCC. During 2020, Blanco was national director of climate change at the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development. Blanco was part of the team who authored the AR5 and AR6 reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). 

Blanco was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
