Frantz Bernard Craan is currently chairman of the board of directors of the Société Financière Haïtienne de Développement SA (SOFIHDES), of which he joined the Board of Directors in 1992. SOFIHDES is a financial development company with private Haitian capital, providing credit services , training and management support for Haitian small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Since 2010, Craan has been a member of the board of directors of Société Générale Haitïenne de Solidarité (SOGESOL), a subsidiary of the Sogebank Group and was also, from September 1998 to February 2012, vice-chairman and administrative and financial director of JMB SA, a mangoes exporting company. From 1980 to 1998, he was managing director and co-owner of NITRAM SA, a company distributing pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.

Frantz Bernard Craan was also president of the National Association of Distributors of Pharmaceutical Products (ANIDPP), secretary general of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Haiti (CCIH), coordinator of the Haitian Federation of Associations of Private Sector (FHASEP), founding member, treasurer then chairman of the board of the Center for Free Enterprise and Democracy (CLED), chairman of the Association of Mango Exporters and, until April 2012, member of the board of directors of the Forum Economic of the Private Sector (FESP), organization bringing together the main chambers of commerce, institutions or employers’ associations, and major companies in the country. He was, from April 2012 to September 2014, executive director of the FESP and, from 2014 to 2016, was principal consultant of its Board of Directors. He became coordinator of the Forum in April 2017 until September 2019. Craan was elected president, in October 2016, of the Western Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIO). He became president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Haiti in March 2017. He remained President of these two institutions for four years, October 2020 for the CCIO and March 2021 for the CCIH.

Craan is a graduate of the Escuela de Nuevas Profesiones in Madrid, Spain, where he obtained a degree in business management with a marketing track.

Craan is a member of the Think Tank Haiti (TTH) Steering Committee.
