Argelia Vázquez Salas is a researcher in medical sciences, attached to the reproductive health sector at the Population Health Research Center of the National Institute of Public Health of Mexico (INSP). Salas is a member of the National System of Researchers and has participated in several projects on prostate cancer and early childhood development. She has also participated in projects on depressive symptomatology and methods of violent discipline. 

Salas graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Nayarit, thus becoming a surgeon. She has a master’s degree in health sciences with a specialization in reproductive health and a doctorate in public health sciences with a concentration in epidemiology, degrees awarded by the National Institute of Public Health.

Salas was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
