Bridging the Divides at the Summit of the Americas

Event Summary This event has passed.

With an ambitious theme, “Democratic Governance Against Corruption,” the Summit of the Americas in Lima on April 13th and 14th has the unique potential to make progress towards public sector, civil society, and private sector priorities alike. But will governments overcome their divisions to take concrete action against corruption? And how can these efforts be supported by civil society, the business community, and youth leaders? Can heads of state find common cause with the Americas Business Dialogue, the Civil Society Forum, and the Young Americas Forum on Summit outcomes that will combat corruption in the hemisphere?

The Inter-American Dialogue and the Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center are pleased to host an open discussion on how stakeholders in the VIII Summit of the Americas could unite around common anticorruption goals.
