Dr. Nigel Clarke is currently the Minister of Finance in Jamaica. Before being appointed as minister, he was the Deputy Chairman and CFO of the Musson Group, a diversified conglomerate headquartered in Jamaica with operations in the Caribbean, Central America and the Pacific.  He is also Deputy Chairman of the PBS Group, a technology firm operating in the Caribbean and Central America, and Chairman of Eppley Limited, a boutique finance institution in Jamaica.

Dr. Clarke currently serves as an Ambassador of Jamaica in the area of Economic Affairs and he has previously served as a Senator in the appointed Upper House of Parliament in Jamaica where he focused on legislation concerned with economic, financial and business issues.

He is Chairman of the National Youth Orchestra of Jamaica, a non-profit that empowers youth in Jamaica through classical music education and a member of the board of directors of the YOA Orchestra of the Americas.

Dr. Clarke has a D.Phil. in Numerical Analysis from Oxford University where he was a Rhodes Scholar, an M.Sc. in Applied Statistics also from Oxford University and a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of the West Indies.

Clarke is on leave from the Dialogue until the end of his term in office.
