Víctor Sánchez is a specialist in public policies in the social sector. He has extensive experience in the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic. Sánchez directed the Office of Educational Planning and Development, and in 2011 he was appointed as vice-minister of education. He has been a member of the National Education Council, the Board of Directors of INFOTEP, a founding member of the Dominican Initiative for Quality Education (IDEC), and the Latin American Coalition for Teaching Excellence.

Sánchez studeda civil engineering in the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo, INTEC. He has a Master’s in structures from Polytechnic University-Brooklyn, in New York. In addition, he completed a Master’s degree in senior public management at Instituto Universitario de Investigación Ortega y Gasset, attached to the universities Complutense of Madrid and Alcalá of Henare, under the auspices of the Global Foundation, Democracy, and Development, FUGLODE.

Sánchez was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
