Sally Yearwood

Sally Yearwood served as the Executive Director of Caribbean Central American Action from 2011 to 2018, after rejoining the organization as Deputy Executive Director in 2008. She had previously worked with CCAA from 1989-1995.  Over the years, her areas of focus have included energy security, maritime transportation, disaster management, Haiti, trade policy, and financial services, among many others.  Ms. Yearwood’s career spans more than 25 years working with the countries of the Caribbean and Central America. She spent 13 years in Haiti where her experience includes serving as the Trade and Investment Advisor for the U.S. Agency for International Development, managing projects for the Caribbean Export Development Agency, and serving as the Country Representative for the U.S. Department of Commerce.

She sits on the board of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association and the Caribbean Tourism Organization; she is on the Advisory Board of the Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum, and is a member of the Bretton Woods Committee. In March, 2016, she received an “International Woman of the Year” Award from the World Trade Center Miami, for her work in trade and logistics. She has a BA in International Relations and an MA in International Development.
