Roberto de Michele is a Principal Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank, focusing on Modernization of the State. He has previously worked as the Principal Policy Officer in the Office of Institutional Integrity at the Inter-American Development Bank. Prior to that, he was Director of Policy Planning in the Anti-Corruption Office of Argentina, where he was the specialist designated to the Committee of Experts for the Mechanism for Follow-up on Implementation of the Inter-American Convention against Corruption. De Michele has been a consultant with the United Nations, the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Open Society Institute, Transparency International, the Ethics Resource Center, the Chr. Michelsen Institute of Bergen, and the Utstein Anti-Corruption Resource Centre. He has been a professor at various universities, including Georgetown University, Universidad Del Salvador in Buenos Aires and Universidad de Buenos Aires. De Michele holds a Law degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires and an LL.M. from Yale Law School.
