Ramiro Orias is a Bolivian lawyer and human rights defender with over 20 years of experience working to promote access to justice, penal reform, human rights, and international law through a variety of methods that include public advocacy campaigns in Bolivia. As founder and director of the CONSTRUIR foundation, he promoted and led public policy movements to increase access to justice for indigenous peoples and worked to increase understanding, acceptance, and support for the process of penal justice reform in Bolivia.  He has also coordinated a project of pre-trial detention citizen monitoring. Orias was Hubert Humphrey Fellow at American University and is now a Program Officer at the Due Process of Law Foundation (DPLF)
