Pavel Vidal Alejandro is an associate professor of economics at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali, Colombia. Vidal Alejandro previously worked at the Central Bank of Cuba and the Center for the Study of the Cuban Economy (CEEC) at the University of Havana. He is a specialist in macroeconomic issues, monetary policy, and the use of applied econometrics of time series. He has trained with numerous central banks in Latin America and collaborated with scholars and research institutions in various countries. His academic experiences have involved serving as a visiting researcher at Harvard and Columbia universities in the US, the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain, and the Institute for Developing Economies (Japan External Trade Organization) in Japan.
