Micaela Finoli joined the Education Program at the Inter-American Dialogue as a research associate in 2021. Prior to the Dialogue, Finoli worked in the Integral Assessment Unit of Educational Quality and Equity, Ministry of Education of the City of Buenos Aires, as impact evaluation team coordinator and developing projects on socio-emotional skills. Finoli graduated from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella with a degree in Law and has a master’s degree in educational management from Universidad de San Andrés.
On November 10, 2021 and February 17, 2022, the Inter-American Dialogue, together with the Presidential Council for Children and Adolescents and with the support of the LEGO Foundation, organized two events to explore and reflect on the role of play in Colombia’s early childhood agenda.
This report aims to analyze the evaluation strategies implemented during this pandemic period, highlight good practices and offer recommendations to continue supporting diagnostic and recovery efforts in the future.
On June 17, the Education Program at the Dialogue with the support of the Tinker Foundation hosted the third event of a series which sought to highlight the experiences of Latin America’s teachers during the pandemic and present alternatives to measure the emotional state and wellbeing of teachers.
