Martín Obaya is vice-director at the Research Center for Transformation at the School of Economics and Business at the National University of San Martín. Obaya specializes in studying technological learning processes in the manufacturing industry and natural resource-intensive sectors. He has provided consultancy services to international organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization. Obaya is an economist with a PhD in Social Sciences from Monash University (Australia) and a MA in International Relations from the University of Bologna (Italy). His current line of research focuses on lithium governance.
