Mariana Zúñiga García is the director of evaluations for improving learning and educational processes in the Diagnostic Evaluation Unit of the National Commission for the Continuous Improvement of Education (MEJOREDU). She has been a primary education teacher, a bachelor’s degree in pedagogy at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), and a master’s degree in education and teaching at the Universidad Tecnológica Latinoamericana (UTEL). For 15 years, he has developed and coordinated projects to evaluate student learning, teaching, tutoring, and educational programs in institutions such as UNAM, the Interinstitutional Committees for the Evaluation of Higher Education (CIEES), the National Institute for the Evaluation of Education (INEE), and the MEJOREDU. She was Director of National Evaluations of Educational Results at INEE. She coordinated the development of the instruments and disseminated the National Plan for the Evaluation of Learning (PLANEA) results.

Zúñiga García has a degree in psychology and a master’s degree in psychology in ​​educational evaluation from the Faculty of Psychology of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She has a specialty in policy and management of educational assessment from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO).
