Lara Kovandova joined the Inter-American Dialogue in 2022 as a reporter for the Latin America Advisor. Prior to joining the Dialogue, she interned at the Center for the Opening and Development of Latin America, a think tank in Buenos Aires. Kovandova is an avid writer and was a regular contributor to her universities’ student newspapers. Kovandova graduated from The London School of Economics with an MSc in Global Politics, and from the University of Durham with a BA in Social Sciences and Spanish. She spent a year abroad in Latin America, split between Colombia and Argentina. She is particularly interested in issues of migration and foreign policy. Kovandova is fluent in French, Spanish, and Slovak, in addition to her native English.
