Katharine Summers

Katharine Summers is an intern with the Education Program at the Inter-American Dialogue. She is currently a graduate student in International Development Studies with a concentration in education and migration in Latin America at the George Washington University. Most recently, she served as an education program assistant for a small women-owned consulting business and worked on evaluations of federal government education programs as a research assistant for a government contracting firm. She was selected as a 2020 Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Argentina. Summers also worked in Honduras for a year as a resource teacher and special projects manager with Students Helping Honduras and as a research and project assistant for Train For Change. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a double major in Global Development Studies and Latin American Studies as well as a minor in Spanish.
