Josefina Townsend is a Peruvian TV news reporter and presenter with a long track record as a local and international journalist. Townsend started her career writing for local news magazine, Caretas, and working as a news presenter for Chanel 2 in Peru. Her international status came in the late 90s when she moved to Atlanta to host CNN en Español’s prime time news show.
She returned to Peru after the Fujimori era and worked first as the host of a local prime time news program and, more recently, at state-owned Channel N. She holds a law degree and an associate of arts degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
Townsend was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
