Isabella de Roldao is the first elected woman to hold the position of deputy mayor of Recife, after winning the 2020 elections with João Campos. She is a lawyer, teacher, nutrition student and political leader by vocation. She was President of the Democratic Labor Party of Recife (PDT) and of the Labor Women’s Action (AMT). Between 2013 and 2016, she served as a councilor on the Recife City Council. From February 2019 to April 2020, she headed Recife’s Housing Secretariat. At the Vice City Hall, she is the Strategic Coordinator of Projects, Partnerships and Exchanges in the area of ​​International Relations. She was also named ambassador for South America for the Cities Climate Finance Leadership Alliance, a global coalition of entities dedicated to sustainable urbanism, focusing on financing climate actions and low-carbon resilient infrastructure in cities around the world.
