Cuellar-Marchelli is the director of the Social Studies Department for FUSADES (la Fundación Salvadoreña para el Desarrollo Económico y Social). She has 25 years of experience on the analysis and research of public policies, focused on education and social areas, and since 2008, she has been a peer reviewer of academic articles for the International Journal of Educational Development. She is member of several national and international committees with the capacity to influence public policy. Furthermore, she is the host of the program “Literal Radio”—a FUSADES radio show to reflect on different social problems and how to face them.

Cuellar-Marchelli is an economist with a PhD and MPhil in international and comparative education with an emphasis on economics and education finance from Columbia University in New York. She also holds a MA in economics and education from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York. Her other studies include international development at University of Oslo, and construction of security and defense policies and institutions at the Perry Center for Hemispheric Studies at the National Defense University.

Cuellar-Marchelli was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
