Fernando Spross

Fernando Spross is an associate economic researcher for the Fundación para el Desarrollo de Guatemala.

He has worked as an advisor on trade cooperation for the Guatemalan Ministry of Economy and served with the Office of the Vice-President of Guatemala. He has also held research positions at the Fondo de Inversión Social and the Centro de Investigaciones Económicas Nacionales de Guatemala.

Throughout his career, Spross has published on business climates, tax issues, and competitiveness and performed work for the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank.

Spross holds a master’s in Public Policy from the Korea Development Institute (KDI) and a master’s from the Universidad Francisco Marroquín.

Spross was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
