Jarrett is deputy chairman and CEO of The Jamaica National Group, a multi-national group of companies, and serves as chairman of the Electoral Commission of Jamaica and chairman of the Jamaica Cancer Society. He previously served as the general manager of the Jamaica National Building Society from 1999-2017.

A chartered accountant and graduate of The University of the West Indies, Jarrett is chairman of the
Electoral Commission of Jamaica; The University of the West Indies Mona Campus Council; Jamaica Cancer Society; National Council of Jamaica, Order of St John; Jamaican Diaspora Foundation; and Mona Geoinformatics Institute. He is also a director of The Gleaner Company UK and North America Boards, Dudley Grant Memorial Trust, National Road Safety Council, FIA Foundation and The Caribbean Council (UK).

His public service roles included deputy chairman of the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) and Jamaica
Investments Promotions (JAMPRO); member of the National Task Force on Political Tribalism,
council member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica; and honorary secretary of
The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ).

Jarrett has received numerous awards for his commitment to his country including two national
awards from the Government of Jamaica: the Order of Distinction in the rank of Commander (CD)
in 2008 and the Order of Jamaica (OJ) in 2018. He has also been conferred with four honorary
doctorates: Doctor of Laws by the University of Technology Jamaica; Doctor of Laws by The
University of the West Indies; Doctor of Education in Leadership by The MICO University College;
and Doctor of the University by the Nottingham Trent University in the UK.

Jarrett joined the Dialogue as a Member in 2013. He currently serves as a member of the Dialogue’s Board of Directors.
