Carolina España is executive vice president at CAF Development Bank of Latin America. Prior to this appointment, she was the director representative in Colombia and director of institutional financial resources at CAF, where she was responsible for the financing coming from international institutions and other multilateral organizations, as well as for the management of relations with development entities and governments, in order to attract resources for the region. She also worked on the design of the institution’s bond issuing strategy, in terms of the optimization of costs and diversification of investors, and was responsible for the relationships with risk rating agencies and investors, in addition to supporting the institution’s activities in international capital markets. 

She holds a master’s degree in finances and graduated as systems engineer at the Universidad Metropolitana de Venezuela. She worked as a consultant on treasury management systems at Price Waterhouse, where she also participated in several projects of Venezuelan companies such as PDVSA, Mavesa, and Corimón.

España was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
