Andrea Rojas is currently a graduate student at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, where she is pursuing a master’s degree in public administration, with a concentration in economic and political development. She holds a B.A in economics and a M.A in economics from Universidad del Pacífico, Lima, Peru. During her undergraduate years, she was an exchange student at the Universität Mannheim in Germany in 2013.  In Peru, she has worked in multiple entities, closely related to social and education policies.

She worked in the Research Center of Universidad del Pacífico, and later she joined the government where her first position was at the ministry of Development and Social Inclusion. Later, she worked for four years at the ministry of Education as an education policy specialist, where she supported the design of policies and interventions to promote equal access to the tertiary education system for the most disenfranchised populations in Peru.

Her most recent role in government was at the ministry of Economics and Finance, where she supported the assignment of national budget to the education sector and participated in the design of the national strategy to respond to the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the Dialogue, she worked as a graduate intern at the Education Program in the Summer 2021 term.
