Alfredo Coutiño is the head of Latin America Economic Research at Moody’s Analytics, where he leads economic analysis, modeling and forecasting for Latin America.
Prior to beginning at Moody’s in 2004, Coutiño worked as a director at the Center for Economic Forecasting of Mexico and at Ciemex-Wharton econometrics. Earning his undergraduate degree at the University of Madrid (UAM), Coutiño holds a PhD from UAM in econometrics and open macroeconomics, a PhD and MA from Temple University in international economics and econometrics, and an MA from the Mexico Autonomous Institute of Technology (ITAM) in international economics and econometrics.
