Alejandro Martínez de Hoz is an international associate for the international arbitration group of White & Case LLP in Washington, DC. He represents corporate clients and sovereign states in investment treaty arbitrations, international commercial arbitrations, and related disputes and negotiations, with a focus on Latin America.

Martínez de Hoz has a decade of experience in corporate and dispute matters across industries. He has experience in arbitrations and mediations brought under the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, International Court of Arbitration, International Centre for Dispute Resolution rules, and before the Permanent Court of Arbitration. He has acted in matters under the laws of Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru and the United States. These included the renewable and energy sector, construction, mining, highways, airports, insurance, pension funds, finance, and sovereign debt. 

He also worked in the White & Case Mexico City office and has received an award for outstanding contribution for pro bono work in Latin America. Martínez de Hoz has been recognized as an “under 40 leader in Argentina” and served as president of the Buenos Aires Bar’s young division. Before joining White & Case, he worked at a major law firm in Argentina in corporate and capital markets.
