2007 NAEP Results

˙ PREAL Blog

We are pleased to forward an article from Tuesday’s Washington Post on the results of the 2007 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), which assesses skills in reading and mathematics among fourth- and eighth-grade children throughout the country.

It is worth noting that while scores have generally increased since 2005, gains have been significantly higher in mathematics than in reading, and at the fourth grade than at the eighth grade. Also noteworthy is that the gaps between white and minority students have decreased only slightly.
