On March 18, the Dialogue hosted a webinar with UNICEF LAC, Atipay, and ECDAN where experts spoke about Peru’s experience developing and implementing a results-based budget for early childhood development.
In collaboration with the InterAmerican Dialogue and Lego Foundation, the workshop on competencies for early care and education personnel was held on January 20 and January 21, 2021 at the Training Center of the Ministry of Childhood and Adolescence (MINNA) in Asuncion, Paraguay.
On December 9, the Regional Network for Measuring Early Childhood Development (REMDI), the Inter-American Dialogue, and the UNICEF Regional Office, convened a webinar to present and evaluate efforts across LAC countries to measure the impact of the pandemic on early childhood development.

On August 13, the Inter-American Dialogue’s Education Program, the Early Childhood Development Action Network (ECDAN), UNICEF and United Way convened a virtual seminar on the role of the private sector in early childhood development in Latin America.
On June 28, the Regional Network for Measuring Child Development (REMDI) convened a virtual seminar to reflect on surveys that are used to measure early childhood development in the region.
Childhood development has been gaining traction in recent years and is increasingly present in the Brazilian public agenda, however improving the quality and measurement of services is still a priority. This report presents the current state of early childhood policies in Brazil.
