On Thursday, April 25 the Inter-American Dialogue partnered with FIU’s Kimberly Green Latin America and Caribbean Center to host an event called “Transition Interrupted?” to discuss the Dialogue’s Venezuela Working Group’s most recent report that analyzes the potential for democratic change in Venezuela.
On April 12, the Inter-American Dialogue hosted an event titled “Latin America’s Digital Economy and Trends in International Taxation.” The discussion took place in the context of a recent OECD report, that reported that a global consensus on how to tax businesses with a substantial digital footprint but no physical presence in a given country remains elusive.
On December 13, the Inter-American Dialogue hosted an event for corporate program members called “The Outlook for Latin America and the Caribbean Next Year.”
On December 3, the Inter-American Dialogue partnered with the Due Process of Law Foundation to host an event featuring Hernán Larraín, Minister for Justice and Human Rights in Chile.
On September 28th, the Inter-American Dialogue partnered with the Council of the Americas to host an event titled Corruption and Crisis in Guatemala: The Past, Present, and Future of CICIG.
The Dialogue partnered with the Wilson Center and Exiger’s Integrity Forum to host Mariano Borinsky and analyze his proposed reform to Argentina’s legal code.
On June 4, the Inter-American Dialogue, the Center for Reproductive Rights, and the International Planned Parenthood Federation co-sponsored an event titled “The Crisis of Democracy and Women’s Rights in the Americas.”
