Peru’s Outlook Under PPK

After winning the closest presidential elections in Peru’s history last month, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, or PPK, takes office on July 28. With an opposition-controlled congress and economic headwinds from abroad, analysts anticipate a short honeymoon for the former finance minister and World Bank official. The Dialogue is pleased to host this discussion on the priorities and challenges facing Kuczynski, the direction of Peru’s economy, and the new administration’s plans to spur greater growth and social inclusion in a diverse and at-times contentious Peruvian society.
