Monica Lozano is the chair of US Hispanic Media. She has been a member of the Inter-American Dialogue since 1992.

Lozano, widely regarded as one of the most influential Latinas in media, began her career in 1985 as managing editor of La Opinión, a Los Angeles-based Spanish-language daily. She was named publisher of the newspaper in 2004 and CEO of the its parent company, ImpreMedia, in 2010. US Hispanic Media, a subsidiary of La Nación, acquired ImpreMedia in 2012.

Lozano serves as a director of Bank of America and the Walt Disney Company; a trustee of the University of Southern California, the Weingart Foundation, and the Rockefeller Foundation; and a regent of the University of California. During the administration of US President Barack Obama, she has served on the Council on Jobs and Competitiveness and the Economic Recovery Advisory Board.
