Jacobo Dardón is the Country Coordinator for the Opportunities for My Community project in Guatemala. He holds a PhD in Sustainable Development and Ecology from the Colegio de la Frontera Sur in Mexico. Since 2005, Dardón has conducted research and published on international migration in the Guatemalan Highlands. He has advised local NGOs, public institutions, and international organizations about community models of socio-economic development with a sustainable approach. Dardón has also collaborated with the Central American Institute of Social Studies and Development (INCEDES) on security issues and temporary labor migration programs.
