Fredy Oxom is the After-School Programs Coordinator for the Opportunities for my Community Project of the Inter-American Dialogue in Guatemala.

Prior to joining the Dialogue in October 2016, Oxom co-founded an indigenous secondary school in his hometown in Guatemala and worked with nonprofit organizations as a Monitoring Specialist, Teacher Trainer, and Institutional Development Manager.

Oxom received his MA in Bilingual and Intercultural Education from the University of San Carlos of Guatemala. He also holds a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language and a BA in Global Studies from the Methodist University.
