In this week’s post, Silvia Montoya and Víctor Volman, of the Directorate-General of Education Quality of Buenos Aires, discuss an innovative approach to monitoring the effectiveness of education systems.
Implemented in the city in 2012, the Education Quality and Equity Index (IECEP) compiles data including student test scores and repetition rates in order to compare how well students are learning across the district.
